This is a beautiful opportunity for a strong candidate that knows how to develop and implement a merchandise strategy matching the brands DNA that results in a commercial men’s wear collection. In this role you are responsible for managing the product development process from sketch, through to sample: achieving the timelines laid out in the critical path, and delivering the correct range, quality and brand direction. Work with the development team of designers, product developers, and buyers to effectively deliver seasonal collections, meet range-plan requirements within the assigned budget.
You will work closely with the Fabric Manager and provide detailed sourcing input, and you liaison with Sales and Retail to develop an optimal commercial RBU for all categories to realize maximum sales results.

Furthermore you will oversee the scheduling and organization of fittings, making sure there is a follow up post-fitting activities with Designers and Product Developers. Manage the organisation and preparation of photo’s and collection presentation.
Research, analyse the market trends, prices and competitors to ultimately identify the needs and requirements of the customers. This means on-going analysis and monitoring of the sales performance of all categories to optimise assortment during season.
You find the latest trends in fashion, and you always act in the interest of the customer and of the company. The ideal candidate will have a faible for men’s wear fashion, but also have a business and analytical mind-set to manage and control the range planning, collection structure, pricing, margins, retail flow, timely and accurate management reports.
Needs:
- 10+ years of experience working in a fashion design driven environment and currently holding a senior role in Product Development, Merchandising, Design or Retail Buying role.
- Good knowledge of, and experience with category management /product development / Merchandising / Buying processes
- Proven experience in managing people and generating process
- Convincing negotiation skills
- Strong communication and facility skills and the ability to navigate between creative and business
- Highly organised and detail orientated
- Strong knowledge of the brand’s aesthetic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
